DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) – Authorities have identified the man killed in a suspected shooting in Douglas County.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed with First Alert 6 that 35-year-old Seth Vander Horst was the victim killed in the shooting.
The DCSO says deputies were dispatched for a well-being call at a home in the area of 219th and Hascall just before 7 a.m. Saturday.
At the home, deputies found a Vander Horst dead from a gunshot wound. The DCSO says a second resident of the home, a 63-year-old man, was taken to the hospital prior to the deputies’ arrival.
More information will be provided after Vander Horst’s autopsy is completed, the DCSO says.
