PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Police say human remains were found at another homeless camp in Portland on Monday afternoon.
According to Portland Police, officers were called to the area of West Burnside Street and I-405 at around 12:40 p.m. after a crew contracted to clean up homeless encampments reportedly found human remains.
A couple that frequents the area told FOX 12 they started noticing a foul odor coming from the fenced area last Tuesday. They said they reported to PPB last Thursday that they suspected something had died.
FOX 12 has asked PPB about its response.

Police suspect the remains could be linked to the ones found in a trash bag near SW Harvey Milk and SW Naito Parkway less than a week ago.
While investigators believe the case involves one victim, confirmation is still needed from the medical examiner’s office.
Anyone with information is asked to contact homicidetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 26-304859.
