“This is a strong signal of increased Garda presence and a commitment to safe communities across Waterford.
“As a Minister representing Waterford, I want to welcome our new recruits to the Deise and wish them well as they start out in their Garda journey.
“They should be very proud of their chosen career path. I’m sure they’ll enjoy working with the people and communities they encounter here.
“A safe and secure atmosphere in Waterford’s villages, towns and City is a huge priority of mine. Safer communities will be delivered by this strengthening of An Garda Síochána.”
