QUEBEC — Liberal Leader Charles Milliard says his party is willing to co-operate with the incoming minority Parti Québécois government in the coming weeks, but his benevolence has its limits.
The PQ and Liberals had one thing in common Monday: like the 57 PQ MNAs last week, 39 Liberal election winners all chose to swear their oath of office as MNAs to the Quebec people and not King Charles III.
In a second round of oaths in five days in the historic Red Room of the legislature, Milliard used his remarks after the ceremony to respond to premier-designate Paul St-Pierre Plamondon’s olive branch of co-operation issued last week.
