While the players take a breather in Salford, let’s look at what else is going on in the tournament today.

The first game of this double-header was sadly a mismatch with Australia thrashing Samoa 73-0, scoring 11 tries. It was the Wallaroos’ largest winning margin in a World Cup game.

The other game in Pool B is after this finishes with Canada, ranked second in the world, taking on Fiji in York (17:30 BST).

France and Italy are in Exeter with that clash between Six Nations rivals (20:15 BST) in Pool D, which also features South Africa and Brazil.
