A body has been found in the search for missing teenager Georgie in the Bradford-on-Avon area this afternoon (October 27).
In an announcement this evening, Wiltshire Police said that while formal identification has not yet taken place, Georgie’s family have been informed of this development and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Although enquiries remain ongoing, Wiltshire Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Formal identification will take place in due course.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Our thoughts are with Georgie’s family and friends.”
Georgie’s family have asked that their privacy be respected at this extremely difficult time.

Since her disappearance, search teams and police divers carried out extensive searches near the Kennet and Avon Canal area.
