SALINA, Kan. (KCTV) – President Donald Trump has canceled his second trip to Kansas to campaign for Republican U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall.
The Johnson County GOP and Salina Regional Airport confirmed the cancelation with KCTV, they said due to ‘scheduling conflicts’.
Officials announced Monday that Trump would visit Salina on Saturday, Oct. 31, for a campaign event to support Marshall, the Senate incumbent. On Tuesday, the GOP announced the event would be held at Salina Regional Airport’s Hangar 509.
Trump visited Park City, Kansas, just outside Wichita, on Monday, Oct. 19, for a campaign event to support Marshall.
Vice President JD Vance appeared at an event in Topeka on Monday, Oct. 26. It was his second Kansas visit in recent weeks after a Sept. 14 stop in Olathe.
Marshall is running against Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton for a Senate seat that has not been held by a Democrat in nearly a century.
