Tributes have been made following the passing of former Coláiste na Carraige Principal, Gerry Breslin.

The long-time leader of the school was fondly remembered in a tribute made via social media.

“On behalf of the entire Coláiste na Carraige community, we extend our deepest condolences to Gary, Clare, Fiona and family during this difficult time,” the school said.

“Gerrard’s (Gerry’s) leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on our school, shaping the lives of countless students and staff for many years. Ar dheis De’ go raibh a anam dilis.”

The Sliabh Leag Anglers’ Association also paid tribute to Gerry, who was one of their founding members.

“Sad news reached Carrick that Gerry Breslin, former Carrick Vocational /Tech now Colaiste na Carraige Principal and our founding Chairman of our angling club has passed away after a short illness,” the association said.

“Condolences to Clare, Fiona and Gary and family. Suaimhneas siorai Gerry.”
