A man has died following an incident at a premises in Killeshandra, Co Cavan this morning.
A quad bike is understood to have been involved in the incident and the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified.
The man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been removed to Cavan General Hospital and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Gardaà and emergency services attended the scene this morning as will members of the HSA.
Gardaà have said that a file will be prepared for the coroner’s court.
A junior football championship match between Killeshandra and Kildallan scheduled to throw-in this afternoon has been postponed as a mark of respect.
