People are questioning what is going on with Donald Trump‘s health after he was spotted with makeup smeared over his right hand.
On multiple occasions across the last couple days, August 21 and 22, Trump was pictured with poorly-blended makeup covering his hand. The makeup appears to be covering bruising.
The Daily Beast reports that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained the makeup to handshaking.
“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other President in history,” Leavitt said. “His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.”
The president’s doctor commented on the hand bruising just last month.

“Recent photos of the president have shown minor bruising on the back of his hand,” physician Sean Barbabella said in a memo read to the press pool (according to The Daily Beast). “This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”
Earlier in the week, Trump was caught on a hot mic making a statement about Putin.
