Fingal County Council set to evict family from property used by Devon Hennessy (29) as criminal HQ
Now Hennessy, his mother Veronica Maher, Devon and his two brothers are set to be evicted from their family home by the Council for anti social behaviour.
For years neighbours of the family at Sheephill Avenue in Corduff lived in terror of the Hennessy group headed up by the brothers’ murdered father Jason Snr.
He was shot dead on Christmas Eve 2023 while dining at Browne’s Steakhouse before his killer Tristan Sherry was himself beaten to death in front of horrified diners and their families.

The Hennessy house
The Hennessy crew had used the State-owned property as their headquarters and it is understood regularly doled out violent assaults in the shed at the rear where a victim was lured for a torture assault, waterboarded and scalded with a bespoke cattle prod shaped into the word ‘rat’.
Veronica Maher and husband Jason Snr have been tenants of Fingal for years and their children grew up in the area.
Maher is currently before the courts facing charges in connection with a Garda investigation into organised crime.
Her sons, Jason Jnr and Devon, are also before the courts for the torture attack.
Maher is accused of money laundering and threatening to kill a garda and setting a large XL Bully dog on an officer on patrol in the area. She is currently on bail and denying the charges but remains at the family home.
It is understood that Fingal housing have deemed that the anti-social behaviour that has occurred at the home is enough for an eviction notice.

But they have yet to move in to secure the property.
Earlier this month, Devon (29) entered a guilty plea after admitting his role in a torture attack in a shed at the back of the family home in February 2025.
He admitted assaulting the victim as part of a joint enterprise aimed at “enhancing the ability of a criminal organisation to commit a serious offence”.
The burly thug was remanded in custody ahead of a sentencing hearing due later this year.

News in 90 Seconds – 24th August 2025
For several years, Devon has operated as one of the leaders of a west Dublin mob involved in drug dealing, gang feuds, gun and firebomb attacks.
Last August, Devon survived an attempted assassination after a gunman fired on him while he was driving a bullet-proof BMW.
Gardaí later seized the vehicle, which was suspected to have been previously used by associates of the notorious Dundon crime gang.
It was just one of many times Devon’s activiites came to Garda attention. He was regarded as a key player in the Corduff feud which began at the end of 2018 after a dispute between two rival gangs.

By the next year, there were multiple shooting incidents, assaults, stabbings, firebomb attacks and a machete attack at Finglas Garda Station linked to the feud.
Devon survived a number of incidents when gunmen opened up on his home and vehicle around that time, including one incident where five shots were fired at a car he was travelling in 2019.
Devon regularly appeared in court while the feud was ongoing and in 2020 he pleaded guilty to violent disorder after he admitted throwing a punch at a man as he was leaving a courthouse.
Devon’s father, Jason Snr, was also believed to be a key player in the drug gang’s activities.

However, the feuding finally lead to fatal consequences when Jason Hennessy Snr was shot while having a meal with associates in Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown in 2023.
In February, Devon and his two brothers Brandon and Jason were among five men accused of assaulting a man who was beaten and had the word ‘RAT’ branded on his body
While Devon has pleaded guilty, four of his co-accused are awaiting trial in connection with the assault.
