Rochester, N.Y. — The University of Rochester Medical Center provided an update Sunday on patients involved in Friday’s fatal tour bus crash on the New York State Thruway in Pembroke.

Of the six individuals transported to Strong Memorial, one has been discharged, one remains in critical condition and four others are stable, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Kaleida Health of Buffalo said that all patients have been discharged with the exception of one child who remains at Oishei Children’s Hospital in serious condition.

The Erie County Medical Center reported 11 patients are still admitted with one likely being discharged on Sunday, and Rochester Regional said that two patients were treated and released on Saturday.

The crash killed five people and left several others injured, authorities said.

The tour bus, operated by M & Y Tour Inc. of Staten Island, was en route back to New York City from Niagara Falls. It was carrying 54 people, including 52 passengers and two drivers, when it crashed at 12:22 p.m., according to New York State Police Major Andre Ray.

The crash remains under investigation.
