Preliminary information indicates the incident appears to be isolated, with no signs of a broader threat, say police

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a person was found dead at Earl Rowe Provincial Park late Friday night.

Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment were called to the park at approximately 11:58 p.m. on Aug. 22, where the individual was located.

Preliminary information indicates the incident appears to be isolated, with no signs of a broader threat. Police say they are continuing their investigation and are actively monitoring the situation.

Residents in the area may notice an increased police presence as officers work to gather information. The OPP is reminding the public to remain cautious and aware of their surroundings.
