“You never write off the Rangers” was much of the chatter going around Dr Cullen Park after a Chris Nolan-inspired Mount Leinster side reclaimed the Willie O’Connor Cup to become kings of Carlow hurling for a 12th time.
“Did you see what they wrote in the Carlow Nationalist? They gave us no chance” was also overheard, and the display of Paul O’Brien’s side was another classic example of a team taking motivation from their detractors.
