A boy”s lilting song filled the tent in Gaza City … soft music that floated into streets that are more attuned to the deadly sounds of bombs and bullets.
Children were taking lessons on Aug 4 from teachers of the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music who have continued their classes in displacement camps and shattered buildings even after Israeli bombardments forced them to abandon the school’s main building in the city.
