Highway 17 blocked in both directions due to accident near Sault Ste. Marie

A section of Highway 17 near Sault Ste. Marie has been shut down in both directions following a collision that occurred Sunday evening

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – Highway 17 is closed in both directions between secondary highways 552 near Goulais River and 556 in Heyden following a collision Sunday evening.

Sault Ste. Marie OPP members are at the scene, advising drivers to follow officers’ directions and expect delays.

All lanes have been blocked since 5:14 p.m., according to Ontario 511.
