SHOCKING footage has emerged of a number of men armed with weapons committing an aggravated burglary at a Limerick home, and damaging a caravan.
Separate videos have been shared on social media which appear to show up to six men armed with axes, swords, sledgehammers, slashooks and baseball bats. The videos were shot by one of the group in each incident.

One short clip shows a group of men smashing their way into a house and then searching the house. One man with a slash hook goes upstairs. It is not known if the house was occupied at the time.
A garda spokesperson said they received reports that at approximately 11:55pm on Friday a number of individuals forced entry into a house on Shanabooley Road, Ballynanty and caused damage to the property.
“These individuals fled the scene in two cars,” said the garda spokesperson.
A second incident of criminal damage occurred later that night at approximately 1am at a site on the Dublin Road, said the spokesperson..
“Damage was caused to a caravan. Both of these locations are under examination by crime scene investigators.
“No injuries have been reported to gardaí at this time. Enquiries into these incidents are ongoing,” said a garda spokesperson.
The second video shows a group of men armed with weapons breaking the windows of a caravan and damaging a van.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to these incidents to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Ballynanty and Groody areas of Limerick between 11:30pm on August 22 into 1:30am on August 23 are asked to make this footage available.
Gardaí are particularly looking for information on the movements of two cars that were travelling in these areas at the time these incidents occurred.
