The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating an incident where Raja Jackson unleashed a violent attack Syko Stu, rendering him unconscious during a wrestling event in Los Angeles.

On Sunday (Aug. 24), the LAPD confirmed to TMZ that officers were called to the wrestling show Saturday night, took a police report and have launched an investigation into the incident. The shocking moment unfolded at a private KnokX Pro Academy wrestling event, where Raja knocked out Syko Stu then continued pummeling him long after he was down. Video of the brutal beatdown has gone viral, showing Raja raining punches on a bloodied Stu.

The vicious attack sent Syko Stu to the hospital, though a source close to the situation said he was “fine and recovering” by Saturday night. KnokX Pro organizers have already made it clear Jackson will never return to their shows. A source close to the event told TMZ they can “guarantee” he will never again be allowed at a KnokX Pro wrestling match, condemning the attack as a “selfish, irresponsible act of violence.”

Douglas Malo, a wrestler with KnokX Pro Entertainment and Academy, was at the scene and rushed into the ring in an attempt to stop the assault.

“This is so shocking because they were supposed to do a small spot and before you know it, he’s raining down punches,” Malo recalled. He said Raja even turned on him when he intervened. “I ran into the ring to try and get Raja off Syko, but Raja tried to fight me too … going after me with a double leg attack.”

Malo said the attack was especially disturbing given the family-friendly atmosphere of the show. “The whole situation was bad, tragic, and barbaric,” he said, noting that children and families, including his own mother, were in the stands watching.

While Jackson has not commented on the incident, his father former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has since apologized publicly for his son’s actions.

“Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL!” Rampage said.
