The club are pleased to confirm that Ts’oanelo Lets’osa and Ben McPherson have been called up to the Scotland Men’s Under 21s squad for their upcoming UEFA EURO U-21 Championship qualification fixtures against Czechia and Portugal.

Ts’oanelo’s call-up is earned off the back of an impressive start to his time in Thistle colours beginning with a debut goal against Queen of the South in the Premier Sports Cup group stages.

A former Scottish Under 16s international, Lets’osa has started five out of the six games he’s been available for this season and has impressed with his relentless work rate in and out of possession.

For Ben McPherson, it’s a recall to the 21s side having previously featured five times for them during 2023 prior to the knee injury which saw him miss most of last season.

Signed on loan from Celtic just over three weeks ago, Ben made his debut for the club as a substitute in our draw against Greenock Morton before getting his first start the following week as we beat Ayr United at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill.

Both players will be unavailable for selection for our game against Queen’s Park in the William Hill Championship scheduled to be played on Saturday, 6th September.

Scot Gemmill’s side will travel to Czechia for the opening game of their 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification campaign before returning home to take on Portugal at Fir Park.

We wish Ts’oanelo and Ben all the best during their time away!
