Security around IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi has been increased in recent weeks following a threat from Iran, the Wall Street Journal reported citing sources familiar with the matter. According to the report, an elite unit of Austrian security services is guarding the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, headquartered in Vienna, after the country’s intelligence agency received information about a threat against him. Iran, it should be noted, accused Grossi of contributing to the outbreak of the “12-day war” with Israel last June, claiming that his reports on Iranian nuclear activities were biased.
