Calgary police say impairment could be a factor in an early morning crash in the northeast Wednesday.
Officers were called to the intersection of 68 Street NE and McKnight Boulevard NE for reports of a two-vehicle crash around 1:18 a.m.
Involved in the incident was a 2008 Toyota Highlander, driven by an 18-year-old man, and a 2006 BMW X3, driven by a 47-year-old man.
Both vehicle sustained major damage, according to police. The drivers were also left with serious but non-life threatening injuries, and were taken to hospital.
Investigators are looking to speak with witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident.
Police say it is possible the 18-year-old was impaired and that contributed to the crash.
