A garda who was suspended last week has since been arrested for his alleged role in an early morning incident in which a man died on O’Connell Street in Dublin.
The garda was arrested by appointment yesterday by officers from Fiosrú, the Office of the Police Ombudsman, who have been conducting a criminal investigation into the incident that occurred at 4.15am on August 15.
