The FAI are set to cut their workforce through both voluntary and compulsory redundancies as part of a restructuring which they say is necessary to ensure the association is capable of meeting the “evolving needs of Irish football”.
Board members approved the commencement of the plan after a meeting on Tuesday evening where the executive laid out that the organisation needs to trim the workforce in certain departments with a view to strengthening in other areas.
