Ottawa police arrested a suspect in connection with a daytime stabbing near Ottawa’s Algonquin College.
The incident happened around 1:35 p.m. in the 1900 block of Baseline Road. Police said that one person was arrested at the scene. Ottawa paramedics told CityNews in an email that they received a call around 1:46 p.m. at College Square for the incident.
They stabilized an adult woman before taking her to hospital in critical condition.
Officials say there will be an increased police presence in the area for the investigation.
