Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that according to his plan to defeat Hamas, an ultimatum would be issued with “one option – surrender on our terms or fight.” He added: “The political leverage is that every week we will annex more territory from the Gaza Strip – if this pressure doesn’t work, Hamas will lose a great deal and understand the consequences of prolonging the war.” Regarding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he said: “Emigration and annexation are one hundred percent in his hands – he can and should advance it.”
