Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also condemned the demonstration outside the home of IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir. He stated that “the very act of demonstrating outside the private home of a senior officer deserves condemnation.” Smotrich added: “The Chief of Staff is a professional officer dedicated to the people of Israel for many years. Protests should be held outside our offices, the elected officials who bear responsibility for successes and failures, without dragging the IDF and its commanders into the political arena.”
