Our supporters will be housed in the Colin Weir and John Lambie Stands for our forthcoming Premier Sports Cup quarter-final with Celtic at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill.

Following a week-long consultation process, 1,150 fan owners and representatives of several fan groups shared their views on stand allocations. 61.4% of respondents chose the option of housing visiting supporters in the Jackie Husband Stand.

As such, we are committed to honouring the wishes of supporters and have started the necessary work to facilitate the request, with the intention of tickets being on sale as quickly as possible next week. The match has been scheduled for Sunday, September 21, with a 3.30pm kick-off.

The consultation, facilitated by The Jags Foundation, was undertaken with the club’s owners, the beneficiaries of the PTFC Trust.

This encompasses our Season Ticket Holders, members of The Jags Foundation and Jags Trust, and our 71 Club. Our Disabled Supporters’ Association, as well as supporter groups Ultras Thistle, Proud Jags, and Her Game Too, were also directly consulted.

Two options were presented:

Option A would have placed Celtic fans in the Colin Weir Stand with around 2,000 seats, leaving approximately 7,850 tickets available for the Partick Thistle support
Option B, the preferred option of respondents, allocates around 5,900 seats to the visitors in the Jackie Husband Stand, leaving approximately 3,950 tickets for Thistle supporters.

We are grateful to every supporter who engaged with the process. This was a significant demonstration of fan ownership in action, and a clear signal of how your voices can and should shape important decisions.

We will continue to work closely with The Jags Foundation and The Jags Trust to provide more opportunities for consultation across ticketing and other issues later this season.

What matters now is turning the choice made into an advantage for Mark Wilson and his players. This is our chance to create an atmosphere that lifts the team towards a first semi-final in this competition in 50 years, and to do it in our 150th anniversary season.

We encourage every Thistle supporter to play their part in filling our home stands with red and yellow, as we look to make history.

Addressing key points raised

Several recurring themes were raised during the consultation, which we want to address directly:

Segregation and ticketing: We are working closely with our ticketing provider, Fanbase, on solutions to minimise the risk of away fans purchasing tickets in home areas. This will be built into the sales process and communicated clearly before tickets go live.
Disabled Supporters’ Association: Concerns were raised about the Jackie Husband Stand platform. Our Disability Access Officer is in discussions with the DSA to ensure that a safe and inclusive solution is in place before sales commence.
Atmosphere and home advantage: Many supporters spoke of the importance of creating a fortress at Firhill. We will collaborate with Ultras Thistle and other groups to ensure the team receives the best possible backing.
