U.S. President Donald Trump has maintained a relatively quiet presence over recent days despite an exceptionally packed schedule earlier this month.
It’s customary for U.S. presidents to take summer breaks in August during the annual Congressional recess. In total, the president has visited his Virginia golf course 15 times, including Saturday, plus one weekend getaway to his Scottish golf course this summer, representing a more extended absence than during his first term, sparking online rumors about his well-being following his diagnosis revelation.
Nevertheless, President Trump, whom the White House has regularly promoted as the “most accessible” president in American history, has still participated in 26 public events during the summer period.

Trump’s August presidential engagements included a marathon three-plus-hour Cabinet session on Tuesday, during which he addressed topics spanning urgent global disputes to Taylor Swift’s engagement.
Over the subsequent three days, the president had no significant public events scheduled before enjoying his Labor Day holiday weekend in the nation’s capital with his family, when a press pool observed him playing golf with his grandchildren, including enthusiastic golfer Kai Trump, 18, and Spencer Trump, 12, according the Mirror US.
Trump was seen sporting his signature look, featuring a white polo shirt, black trousers and a “Make America Great Again” red cap while playing at his Virginia golf club alongside Kai and Spencer on Saturday. Just a day prior, Trump had an hour-long chat with the conservative news outlet, the Daily Caller.
The White House correspondent for the outlet, Reagan Reese, took to social media to describe the president as “very much alive” before their conversation.
Trump’s recent absence from the public eye has fueled online speculation about his health. This comes after weeks of rumors surrounding the 79-year-old president’s well-being, following the emergence of concerning images of his bruised limbs and swollen ankles.
Soon after these speculations, the White House announced that the president was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, causing swelling in his leg. His bruises were attributed to “minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin,” according to Trump’s doctor, Dr. Sean Barbabella, who reassured that the president is “remaining in excellent health.”
During his first term, Trump often spent time at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. However, his summer break during his second term has been notably longer, as reported by CNN.
