It is hard to imagine how this Government can continue to function properly given what Shane Jones said today.
At a meeting of grey haired NZ First members he was his bombastic best.
He raised the spectre of Nuclear Power for New Zealand. This frankly is a joke. Solar power and wind power and battery technology are now that advanced that there is no case for nuclear power stations, unless you want to make sure you have enough fissible material for bombs.
Hopefully this piece of anti science anti wokeness will cause the same effect that happened to the Australian Liberal party recently.
He promised that immigration will be at the centre of its election campaign. Eat your heart out Nigel Farage.
He continued his campaign against “wokeness”, the “global world order” and “cultural Marxism”. He promised to jettison “the fiction around climate change”. He also suggested that speaking Te Reo was childish.
But the draw dropping comment he made was about Christopher Luxon’s Prime Ministership.
Simon Wilson at the Herald quoted Jones as saying this:
They say Luxon is falling in the polls because he’s doing nothing. The leader of our Government is not doing nothing. He is doing something. He’s hiding.”
The chances of a snap election just shot up.
