Drumkeen teenager Sean Patton has joined English First Division side Reading.
The former Derry City and Finn Harps striker signed from the Candystripes on a permanent deal for an undisclosed deal.
The 19 year old is a Republic of Ireland Under-19 International and attended St Eunan’s College in Letterkenny.
Derry City manager Tiernan Lynch said he was delighted for Patton and wished him every success.
“Sean is the type of player who gives you everything, whether that is in training or a game and he obviously has his whole career ahead of him.
“He’s done well for us this season and we’re delighted to see him get this opportunity.”
