She’s one of the most recognisable faces in Australia’s fashion and beauty scene, with a finger on the pulse of the latest trends and influences making the rounds locally and internationally.

This is why it was a no-brainer Rebecca Judd and her best mate, Jessie Roberts, to team up for an exciting new podcast.

In each episode of Vain-ish, the pair explore left-of-centre beauty trends and how effective they are at actually working.

From unusual fillers, to placenta pills and even salmon sperm facials, these ladies are leaving their inhibitions at the door – all in the name of beauty.

“I did the salmon sperm facial and it was awesome,” Rebecca told Today.

Judd and Roberts both said she resembled a “reptile, alien hybrid” after the procedure, but agreed the results were worth it, promoting collagen around her eyes and giving her a rejuvenated look (once the puffiness settled down).

But while the pair are both willing to put their reputations on the line for some controversial procedures – there was one Judd’s husband, AFL great Chris Judd, had to put his foot down about.

“He said ‘you’ve already done the salmon sperm facial, can you not be the one who also steams her yoni publicly?'” Judd said.

Episode three has just dropped and Jessie revealed she put her hand up for the yoni steaming – a procedure where an expert steams your vagina.

“So the purpose of that is to rejuvenate, give it a deep cleanse and it’s good for fertility,” Roberts said.

“We had a women’s health specialist present, so it’s not just us going rogue.”

The topic of each eposide may be raising a few eyebrows, but less than 24 hours after going live, Vain-ish was already number one on Apple’s podcast ranking.

“We’re taking the girlfriend chat and we’re bringing it to a podcast, with experts along with us and also some of our best friends to reveal their beauty and wellness regimes,” Judd said.

“And gosh, it’s been so fun.”
