The Senior Coach spoke to the media on Wednesday
Adelaide Senior Coach Matthew Nicks has confirmed defender Max Michalanney will return to the line-up for the Crows’ qualifying final against Collingwood.
Nicks spoke to the media on Wednesday and said Michalanney, who has not featured for the Crows since straining his hamstring against Port Adelaide in Round 20, had recovered and was ready to slot back in.
He said Michalanney’s versatility would be a welcomed addition.
“Max looks great, physically and mentally he’s ready to go,” Nicks said.
“We know Max can play multiple roles, one of the things we looked at this year was becoming a more flexible team, players becoming more flexible individually to play all different roles that we might need at different times.
“If he needs to go forward to the ball… then we’ll do that.”
Nicks said forward Luke Pedlar would also be likely to earn a recall after overcoming hamstring soreness, which he reported ahead of Round 23.
“We want to make sure players pull up well today (after training) but Pedlar will also more than likely come in,” Nicks said.
“Those two guys (Michalanney and Pedlar) you’ll see out there tomorrow.”
Adelaide will name its full qualifying final team on Wednesday at 5.50pm (ACST).
The Crows face the Magpies in a qualifying final at Adelaide Oval on Thursday at 7.10pm.
