Heimir Hallgrimsson has labelled Saturday’s sold-out World Cup tie at home to Hungary as a must-win game and the biggest test of his career as Ireland manager, a game that could decide the team’s fate in terms of qualification.

But the Iceland native, who also revealed that a knee injury for Troy Parrott is likely to keep him out of the October window as well as the Hungary/Armenia double-header this month, has side-stepped questions about the issue of equal pay for managers of the men’s and women’s senior international teams.
