Turning 59 never looked so good—just ask Salma Hayek, who posted a sultry bikini pic to celebrate the occasion.
Hayek took to her Instagram page sharing the photo on September 2 with the caption, “59 trips around the sun and still dancing ☀️💃🏻 cheers to all of you & thank you for the love.”
Hayek, dressed in nothing but a bikini and sunglasses, was pictured holding a matching drink and giving a playful expression to the camera. It appears the actress began celebrating the final year of her 50s with a yacht trip, surrounded by water.
The post was filled with positive comments from her more than 30 million followers on the popular social media app. Some celebrities sent their best wishes—including Anthony Hopkins who wrote, “Happy birthday ♥️ We love you.” Chelsea Handler also got in on the action, writing, “Buenos cumpleaños querida! Nos vemos pronto!”
One fan account added, “You are a Phoenix, the Queen of all Phoenixes. Because you are reborn every single day. Happy Birthday, Queen”
Hayek’s birthday posts comes just after a week after the actress posted a tribute to her father-in-law François Pinault, the founder of the luxury group Kering.
In that post, Hayek shared several photos with her family and the caption, “Happy birthday to the beating heart of the Pinault family. Your strength, generosity, and wisdom inspire us all every single day. We are so blessed to share life with you – may this year bring even more joy, health, and unforgettable moments.”
Hayek married Pinault’s son, François-Henri Pinault back in 2009. The couple has one daughter together, 17-year-old Valentina Paloma Pinault.
Hayek’s career has spanned more than three decades, and she continues to work in Hollywood. She is also very active in philanthropy, focusing on women’s rights, immigrants’ rights, and social issues.
