A hostile Adelaide Oval crowd has rained boos down on the Collingwood players across the first half, seemingly expressing their frustration at the Izak Rankine suspension, which stemmed from this match-up a few weeks ago.
Former AFLW player and Triple M expert Kate McCarthy called out the boos, saying “stay classy, Crows fans”.
“Booing someone for calling out homophobia is truly something isn’t it,” she tweeted.
Her sentiment received support from Hawthorn star Jack Ginnivan, who retweeted the post.
