Paul McCartney was spotted at an Oasis concert as he made a rare appearance with his wife Nancy Shevell. The Gallagher brothers were performing at the The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, LA, on Saturday, September 6.
The Walton-born Beatle, 83, was all smiles as he smiled and waved at fans on his way out of the concert. He was also spotted filming Oasis playing Little by Little. Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher’s reunion surprised many, with some wondering whether the band would ever get back together.
After returning to the stage for the first time in 16 years, fans are delighted to see the group back on the road and performing across the globe. Other celebrities spotted at the gig on Saturday included Twilight star Kristen Stewart, singer Rita Ora and actress Salma Hayek.
Liam and Noel have often shared their love of the Beatles, with the band citing the Fab Four as one of their biggest influences. The Gallagher brothers would often perform a cover of The Beatles’ I Am the Walrus during their live shows, something they have not done on the Live ’25 tour. A snippet of the song has sometimes been performed by Liam Gallagher.
It comes as Sir Paul prepares for the US leg of his Got Back tour. Answering a fan question on how he prepares for life on the road and taking care of his fingertips after so many shows, McCartney says he still just wings it.

The singer regularly receives questions from fans in the “You Gave Me the Answer” section of his website. In Thursday, July 31 instalment, fan Sean asked: “After 60-plus years of playing guitar, how do you take care of your fingertips?”
Paul said: “To tell you the truth, I don’t. When I’m touring and playing guitar constantly, my fingertips develop calluses. Then when I have time off, they go a bit softer, but will harden up again when recording.
“I suppose I’ve got used to it, but I don’t actually do anything to them to achieve that result.”

The tour will begin on September 29 in Palm Desert, California, stopping in places including Las Vegas, Denver, Tulsa, San Antonio, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Montreal before it concludes in Chicago in November.
Paul’s most recent live appearance was at Anfield on June 7 when he joined Bruce Springsteen on stage at the home of Liverpool FC.
He also played intimate gigs at the Bowery Ballroom in New York in February which were announced last minute and led fans dashing to the venue for tickets. The last leg of Paul’s long-running Got Back tour came to an end in December after shows in Manchester and London brought the curtain down on a run of gigs in Europe.
The final night in the capital saw him reunite with fellow Beatles Ringo Starr on stage as the two played ‘Helter Skelter’ and the reprise of ‘Sgt Pepper’ together.
