A man, 46, arrested on suspicion of making and possessing explosives in Belfast will appear in court tomorrow.
He was detained after police found several suspicious objects during the search of a house at Bentham Drive in the city yesterday.
As well as being charged with possessing and making explosives, the man is charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.
He has also been charged with having Class A, B and C drugs.
He will appear before Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A number of people were forced to move from their homes during the security alert.
They have since been allowed to return.
