The 34-year-old has been discussing his future on the latest episode of the 2 Johnnies Podcast and said he is moving to America.
Speaking on the show hosted by Johnny McMahon and Johnny O’Brien, Sheeran said: “I’m just about to move to America.

“I’m going on tour there for a while, and I have a family, so I can’t dip in and out.
“We’re going and settling there.”
Also on the podcast, Sheeran spoke about his love of Ipswich Town Football Club, where he owns a 1.4% stake and was previously their shirt sponsor.
He admitted that he will not be able to watch any games at Portman Road this season.
He said: “I went to almost every game last season – I think I can only make one this season because I’m moving to the States.”
The singer has previously shared his desire to move to the States.
Speaking previously on the Call Me Daddy podcast, he said: “Nashville is my favourite city in the States and it’s always been my end goal to move to Nashville and transition to country.”
Sheeran, who started off holding small gigs in Ipswich, rose to international fame in 2011 after releasing his first single The A Team.
In 2012 he picked up a pair of Brit Awards, where he was not only named Best British Breakthrough Artist but he also won the gong for Best British Male Solo Artist.
In July The Shape of You singer performed three sell-out shows at Portman Road ahead of his new album Play, which is being released on September 12.
