Melbourne has provided a list update on Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings.
SMALL forward Charlie Spargo has today informed the club that he would like to exercise his rights as an unrestricted free agent.
“We understand and respect Charlie’s decision to pursue further opportunities,” Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb said.
“He is a premiership player who will always be welcome at the Dees and we wish him nothing but the best for what lies ahead.”
Spargo, who was selected by Melbourne with pick No.29 in the 2017 AFL Draft, played 10 senior games this year, after missing the 2024 season with injury.
The club has also made a further change to its list, with the Dees and Jack Billings agreeing that the former Saint will explore opportunities elsewhere in 2026.
Billings joined the Demons during the 2023 AFL Trade Period and managed 17 senior appearances in the red and blue, his first being in the Opening Round of the 2024 campaign.
He also featured 22 times at VFL level, playing for the Casey Demons.
Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb thanked the 30-year-old for his contribution to the club.
“I would like to thank Jack for his commitment to the program over the past two years,” Lamb said.
“We wish Jack, his partner Sarah and their son Oscar nothing but the best for the future.”
