The Fremantle Football Club have confirmed two changes to their playing list
The Fremantle Football Club have confirmed two changes to their playing list following the 2025 season.
Jack Delean and Odin Jones have been informed they will not be offered contracts for next season.
Selected with pick No.60 in the 2023 AFL National Draft, 20-year-old Delean spent two seasons working on his small forward craft with WAFL Club Peel Thunder, playing 28 league games and kicking 33 goals.
“Jack has invested a lot in his football over the last two years,” said Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty.
“Unfortunately he didn’t get an opportunity at AFL level, but we wish him well for his football future and thank him for his contribution to the Club,” said Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty.
Nineteen-year-old Jones spent two seasons on Fremantle’s list after being selected with pick No.4 in the 2023 Rookie Draft.
In 2024 the key forward and developing ruck played 11 games across Peel Thunder’s league and reserves teams.
Jones missed the 2025 season after suffering an unfortunate back injury in November 2024 and required surgery to repair a fractured vertebra.
“It’s very unfortunate for Odin that he suffered a significant injury in the off-season,” Brierty said.
“We had seen substantial development in his first 12 months at the Club, however following his injury in the off-season, he was unable to return to football this year.
“We will continue to support Odin in his rehabilitation and we thank him for his contribution to the Club.”
