“I need to know did Hudson mention anything about the toilet water incident?” Fletcher said.
“He called me a weak-gutted dog, so yeah it was a good battle out there and he is a top player and I love watching him play,” Walsh said with a cheeky smile.
On a serious note Walsh knew he had to inspire his team when he returned from the bin and felt he let his teammates down as the Raiders scored two tries to make it 28-12 while he was off the field.
“Oh mate I had to come up with something because being bloody sent for 10 in a final, I was disappointed with myself. so I’m glad things went our way,” Walsh said.

Walsh was pressed on what he will be doing with the week off and replied he was hoping for some down time.
“I can’t wait, I am going to be begging Madge for a couple of days off because geez he has been getting into us,” Walsh said.
However, while Walsh set up the win, Ben Hunt iced it and the halfback revealed he thought he went off too early with the celebrations.
“Honestly I thought I put my hands up a bit early,” Hunt said.

“I hit it sweet and I thought I had it, started to put my hands up and then it started drifting right and when it hit the post I wasn’t sure, so just glad it snuck in.”
Walsh was charged down a couple of times going for field goal and devised a plan with Hunt for him to take the match winning shot as it turned out.
“He had a couple of shots before that and they were getting pretty hot on him, so we talked about if we get a chance I will have a go,” Hunt said.
“The young fella honestly got us back in the game tonight. Without him we don’t get that to extra time. He was pretty special.”

Hunt was pressed on whether he gave the Broncos a chance from 16 points down in the last quarter of the game.
“Honestly at the start of the year I wouldn’t have thought so, but the way we have been playing the last couple of months, I knew we had some points in us if we could just get it together,” Hunt said.
“Once we got in control we can get a couple and to get it to extra time I thought it was a special effort.
“A couple of things went our way and it was kind of like we were just meant to get it done.”
