SA Police says it is investigating an employee’s social media posts, after they allegedly made a post celebrating the assassination of the US right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk.
In a brief statement SAPOL said it was aware of the social media posts.Â
“They are now subject to an investigation under the Police Complaints Disciplinary Act,” a spokesperson said.
“No further comment will be made.”
The employee’s Facebook post about Kirk’s death was still live this morning.
Kirk died last week after being shot while speaking at a university campus in the US state of Utah.Â
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the killing.
