A worker at a local takeaway shop told the Herald she heard three loud bangs and shut her door immediately.
She said she saw a black ute driving in the wrong direction around the parking lot, “very aggressively”.
“It’s just so shocking.”
Jini, a nearby shopper, saw the aftermath of the incident and spoke to the injured man.
She told the Herald she was at the supermarket for a bag of chips and then ducked across the liquor store, where she saw a black modified jeep drive in the wrong direction in the car park like a “manic”.
She said the man driving appeared to be very jittery.“
There was alot of noise, sounded like a pop and then a crack,” she said.
She then saw a man in the car park bleeding from his ear.
“It was a big gash, blood everywhere.”
She said lots of shoppers nearby ran out to help, including a paramedic who happened to be in the area.
She said the young man appeared “very flustered” and told her that his jaw may have been broken.
She said she made the call to police as nearby shoppers helped the injured man.
Witnesses said there was a “heavy police presence” of about five police cars and an ambulance on the scene.
Both Police and Woolworths have been approached for comment.
