A teenager was seriously injured when he was stabbed multiple times in the back in Melbourne’s north last month, with police appealing for help finding his attacker.

The 18-year-old was approached by an unknown man on Kingsway Dr near Edgars Rd in Lalor when a fight broke out about 3.45pm on August 25.

The teenager tried to run from the scene but was stabbed a number of times in his back.

His attacker, also described as someone in his teens, ran from the scene.

He is believed to be Middle Eastern in appearance and had a thin build.

The offender was wearing a black tracksuit and a hooded jumper with large white letters ‘Hoodrich’.

He was also wearing large black headphones and had a balaclava on.

Police have released images and CCTV of a man that may be able to assist with their investigation into the stabbing.
