Next to speculating about the health of the royals, speculating about their marriages is one of the public’s favorite things to do. And though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not working royals anymore, the speculation hasn’t stopped one bit, particularly since Harry and his father seem on their way to reconciling. It seems like people need more marriages to worry about than that of Kate Middleton and Prince William.
But how are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle doing? Royal biographer Tom Bower told GB News that Harry has “separated himself” from Markle’s “crashing career.” After the host asked whether Harry had “painted himself into irrelevance” after he moved to the United States, Bower replied, “Well, he hasn’t, because when he comes here, he becomes a focus of attention. But of course, he is spare to Meghan or was, in her attempt to become the great television homemaker. But her series, her career, is crashing.”

“So very cleverly, Harry has separated himself from Meghan, as she did from him, but she still needs him. And so you’ve got this couple in Montecito, desperately looking for a new purpose in life,” he added.
This all comes after recent reports that a comment Markle made during the second season of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, didn’t sit well with Harry. During the show, Markle revealed that Harry was actually the one who first said “I love you” between the two of them. After the show came out, RadarOnline reported that the revelation made Harry “feel less of a man.”
The outlet reported. “Harry is seething,” and “He feels Meghan has made him look weak by boasting he was the first one to drop the love bomb.” This seems to contradict the image both Harry and Meghan have given of their relationship, but the outlet added, “He’s proud of his relationship, but he doesn’t want to be cast as the lovestruck puppy,” with the source saying, “He’s been venting that Meghan’s oversharing makes him feel emasculated.”
Considering the last we’ve seen from the couple was Markle posting a throwback picture of Prince Harry to celebrate his birthday, with the caption, “Oh hi, Birthday Boy” and a fire emoji, it’s probably safe to take any rumors of trouble in their marriage or Harry taking Markle’s sweet revelation to heart with a grain of salt. Particularly since that came after Harry defended his decisions to write about his family in his memoir, Spare.
During an interview with The Guardian, he said, “I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” he said. “I know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative,” he added. “The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.”
Doesn’t really sound like someone who would be upset about his wife sharing a tiny moment of their love story in such a positive way. It’s probably safe to say that, whatever the status of Prince Harry’s reconciliation with his father is, his marriage is just fine.
