Tributes paid to young Waterford cyclist Tomas Walsh following death in France

Tributes have been paid to a young County Waterford cyclist who died suddenly in France at the weekend.

Tomas Walsh, a member of the Comeragh Cycling Club – has been fondly remembered by his friends in the cycling community across the country.

In a statement, Comeragh Cycling Club said: “We’re truly shattered by this news and extend our sincerest condolences to all his family and friends.”

Tomas has been described as ‘a pleasant young man’, ‘a credit to his parents’ and ‘a super kid on and off the bike’.
