Stephen Baldwin made a rare comment about his daughter Hailey Baldwin during a recent appearance on Tori Spelling’s podcast misSPELLING and he praised her success with her skincare company, Rhode.

“Look at my daughter,” Baldwin, 59, said during the Wednesday, September 17, episode. “I never talk about her, but my daughter has done the impossible. Relatively. But in this day and age, in the last ten years. It’s not impossible. It’s happened. It’s like these kinds of successes are happening.”

He continued, “Young people are making unbelievable amounts of money on the internet in ways that are very sketchy, so God bless her.”

When Spelling, 52, asked what he meant by “sketchy,” the Bio-Dome actor said that he thought there were “a lot of young people exposing themselves in private chat rooms and getting paid a lot of money to do it.”

As the conversation continued, Baldwin implied that he was referring to OnlyFans. The site is a subscription-based content platform where creators share exclusive material directly with their fans. However, while many people associate OnlyFans with adult material, many creators also use it for fitness coaching, music, cooking and lifestyle content.

Hailey, 28, went a different route when it came to making money. In 2022, she launched Rhode with business partners Michael D. Ratner and Lauren Ratner. The mom of one started off small and only offered a few items like lip treatments, a peptide-glazing fluid and a barrier restore cream. She capitalized on the popular “clean beauty” and “skinimalism” aesthetic and used her large following on social media to promote the brand.

Rhode exploded in popularity and in March this year, the company pulled in around $212 million in sales, according to Business Insider. The success caught the attention of e.l.f. Beauty, which announced in May that it was acquiring Rhode in a deal valued at up to $1 billion. While Hailey will remain the face and creative force of the brand, the partnership means her skincare line will be expanding to even more shelves and international markets.
