The 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade will be broadcast live and exclusive on Fox Footy from 10am, starting with coverage of the captain and coach press conference before heading to the streets with players.
The parade will officially commence at 10.30am, with organisers hopeful the predicted wet weather will hold off for the duration.
10.30am – Parade commences from Melbourne Park Oval
11.30am – Parade arrives at TCL Main Stage, Macca’s Footy Fest
12pm – Live music and players presented onstage
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, players can expect cloudy conditions at around 22C, while there’s a 70 per cent chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening – even the chance of a thunderstorm later on Friday.
WHAT ARE THE AFL GRAND FINAL PARADE ROUTE AND MAP DETAILS?
As the parade did in 2024, the route will travel from the Melbourne Park start point towards the MCG and Jolimont Station where the nearby Footy Festival awaits.

The parade will make its way through Melbourne and Olympic Park, into Birrarung Marr and then over the William Barak Bridge and into the MCG Yarra Park Precinct.
It will conclude at the Footy Fest stage where both grand final teams and the 2025 AFL Premiership Cup will be presented around 12pm.
The 2025 parade route will again bypass public roads, while Melbourne Park Oval is the best spot to see the players, with easy access to Richmond Train Station and public transport systems to get to and from the parade.
This year, the AFL has added an elevated viewing experience and new additions to the procession.
“The Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade is an iconic family-friendly event each year and in 2025 we’ll be enhancing the experience at Birrarung Marr, creating three incredible viewing opportunities for parade-goers who are enjoying the Grand Final week festivities and all it has to offer,” AFL executive Bec Haagsma said.

“We are enhancing the parade even further with special segments to celebrate the broader AFL community including AFLW and the incredible Toyota AFL Open athletes.
“We can’t wait to see all the fans soaking up the atmosphere as they cheer on the new additions to the parade, plus all their favourite players as the Toyota HiLux motorcade passes by.”
The Birrarung Marr precinct will have entertainment from 9am including DJs and emcees before the highly anticipated parade makes its way through the precinct.
