Celtic failed to break down a resolute Hibs side as the Scottish Premiership encounter finished 0-0 at Celtic Park.

The Hoops totally dominated the first-half with some excellent passages of play, but the only thing missing was a clinical finish.

That theme continued in the second-half with Celtic totalling an incredible 26 shots across the match, with just six on target.

In fairness to Hibs, they were dogged and defensively organised, with Grant Hanley impressing at the back and goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger making some great saves.

Celtic played well, there’s no doubt, but football is all about scoring and the Bhoys could not do that this afternoon.

It means Hearts overtake Celtic at the top of the Premiership after their win over Falkirk. Here are 67 Hail Hail’s Celtic player ratings vs Hibs below.

Not a lot to do, but will be thankful that Warren O’Hora missed a sitter from just a couple of yards out in the first-half.

Anthony Ralston – 6

Returning from injury, Ralston ensured Colby Donovan wasn’t missed too much as the Scotsman put in a solid display.

Cameron Carter-Vickers – 6

Displayed his sheer strength up against Kieron Bowie, one of Hibs’ biggest attacking threats. Commanding performance.

Liam Scales – 7

Did well to contain Martin Boyle as he broke away on the counter-attack a couple of times. Such an important defender for Celtic now.

Marcelo Saracchi – 8

Excellent display and almost scored a wonder-goal with a fierce strike from the left side of the box. Linked up well with Tounekti and put in some terrific crosses.

Callum McGregor (C) – 7

Such a lively display and was brilliant in tight areas as Hibs defended compactly. His engine is still unbelievable.

Luke McCowan – 6

Showed great flashes with some lovely cute passes but sometimes got caught on the ball as Hibs pressed him.

Arne Engels – 7

Certainly the Belgian’s best performance of the campaign so far.

Daizen Maeda – 6

Deployed on the right wing, much better than his 45 minutes against Red Star Belgrade. There was definitely no signs of laziness or lack of effort today.

Sebastian Tounekti – 7

Such an exciting player to watch on that left wing. Always wanted to take his full-back on and could twist and turn both ways.

Kelechi Iheanacho – 7

Looked really sharp now and should have scored after about 25 minutes of play when Maeda played him through. Had the ball in the net in the second-half but Saracchi was flagged correctly offside.

James Forrest (sub) – 3

Lively and saw plenty of the ball but his final ball lacked quality.

Benjamin Nygren (sub) – 5

Best of the substitutes as his quality shone through. Looks so elegant on the ball and made the Hibs defence think late on.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha (sub) – 3

Saw the ball on just a few occasions.

Paulo Bernardo (sub) – 3

Kept things ticking over in midfield.

Johnny Kenny (sub) – 3

Hardly got a sniff.
