Geelong players are congregating for their traditional post-season celebrations — and, as always, have cheekily and cleverly dressed up for the occasion.
Unlike previous years where they’ve held a ‘Wacky Wednesday’ event, the Cats have opted for low-key ‘Mad Monday’ festivities at the Wharf Shed in Geelong.
It comes less than 48 hours after their humiliating 47-point Grand Final loss to Brisbane.

Only one picture from the always highly-anticipated arrivals has emerged so far via 7News reporter Xander McGuire — and it’s a cracker.
Sam De Koning and Ollie Dempsey are picture arriving in an Aston Martin car wearing Cotton On-branded clothing and emerging holding brown paper bags — undoubtedly a nod to high-profile recruit Bailey Smith.

Smith, meanwhile, was dressed as Tristan Ludlow — the character played by Brad Pitt from Legends of the Fall — while skipper Patrick Dangerfield and ruck Rhys Stanley came as characters from Yellowstone.

Smith later posted on Instagram a picture of him with teammate Max Holmes, who appeared as veteran AFL reporter Caroline Wilson.

Cats players have delivered hilarious costumes in recent seasons, such as Gryan ‘Lionel Messi’ Miers stealing the show in 2023 and Jeremy Cameron’s brilliant take on Aussie icon Russell Coight in 2024.
